Create & animate a realistic honeybee using Maya , Zbrush , Yeti 4 & V-Ray
welcome to the honeybee course:
We learn how to create a realistic honeybee (a +200$ 3D Model) using Zbrush for modeling , Maya for rigging and animation, Peregrine Yeti for adding the fur and V-Ray for Rendering the sequence.
Chapter01 : Modeling: -Zbrush & Maya
We start modeling the insect and face together the challenges that represents
Chapter02: Rigging - Maya
I will demonstrate how to rig sqsfqsfsquch an insect and how to automate the wing flapping and make the life of the animator easier.
Chapter03: Tracking - AE
We do some quick tracking use AE to prepare the scene for the CGI integration.
Chapter04: Animation : The bee in the forest - Maya
In this chapter we start animating the insect and I will share with you my techniques how to help yourself lessen the challenges that you face in animation
Chapter05: Grooming and Shading -Maya, Yeti & V-Ray
The beauty of any fluffly creatures is the "fur", we use the Peregrine Yeti plugin to accomplish this task. Relying on the powerful renderer (V-Ray) we create a realistic fur shader and I will show you how to create a realistic Wing shader
Chapter06: Rendering
Rendering a sequance is frustrating not because it is hard, but because the final result may not look exactly as you planned for; So I will show you how to tackle such a scene and how to properly set the motion blur for the flapping wings.
Chapter07: Honeybee Flying cycle
I will quickly share with you how to animate a flying cycle to create a piece suitable for your showreal.
